WordPress Developer – Contract Position

Contract Duration: 6 months

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Website Developer for a 6-month contract to support the development and launch of a new website. This role demands significant expertise in PHP, WordPress, and SQL to build and customize a dynamic website using an existing WordPress theme. The ideal candidate should also have experience with API integration on websites. This hybrid position offers flexibility, requiring in-office presence just 2-3 days per month.

This contract role is ideal for a motivated developer who thrives in a flexible, dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to a major web development project.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • WordPress Expertise: Proficient in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
  • PHP Development: 5+ years of experience in website development, with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress.
  • Plugin Management: Experience in integrating and customizing third-party plugins.
  • Web Technologies: Strong skills in PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript (and frameworks), and JSON.
  • API Integration: Proven experience in implementing third-party APIs on websites.
  • Data Security: Expertise in implementing robust data security practices.
  • SQL and Databases: Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database management.
  • Independent Worker: Capable of working independently within a small, collaborative team.
  • Communication: Proactive in building and maintaining strong relationships with business users.
