Job Summary

  • Part of the Options trading strategy development team
  • Responsible for the maintenance and constant improvement of our python-based platform that enables quantitative researchers to interact efficiently with trading systems, empowering powerful and fast data analysis and studies
  • Work with Traders, Quantitative Researchers and other Strategy Developers to facilitate new trading behaviours
  • Work with large datasets to set up and maintain production-quality data pipelines

 

Qualifications 

  • Degree in Computer Science or other science or technical field
  • Experience of distributed message-based systems and server-side software development with proven product delivery success
  • Experience with the Python language and the Python scientific stack
  • Full software development life cycle experience and exposure to agile software development
  • Strong Mathematical/Statistical background
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and to propose novel technical solutions
  • The ability to self-manage, self-motivate, and seek process improvement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with quantitative researchers and other engineers
  • Attention to detail, self-motivation and ability to react to changing priorities
  • Willingness to participate and provide assistance in the deployment and maintenance of our production software

 

Nice to have

  • Key concepts of finance and trading and their requirements as applied to systems development
  • Networking and operating systems basics: Linux and Windows
  • UI/UX design
  • Web services and development frameworks
  • Experience in Java, C# or other OOP language
  • Experience or interest in statistics
  • Experience with source control, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Experience using relational and NoSQL databases
