Seeking a Dev Ops System Engineer to shape an award-winning Software as a Service application by ensuring the integrity, security, and scalability of their cloud infrastructure. This role offers a unique chance to drive enterprise projects, serve as a technical bridge between teams, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. We’re looking for a results-driven individual with Linux/Unix and Windows expertise, AWS proficiency, scripting finesse, and exceptional communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating the deployment, maintenance and performance tuning of an award winning application.
  • Delivering world class cloud engineering and DevOps support.
  • Designing and implementing solutions to meet the requirements of our internal customers.
  • Monitoring performance, troubleshoot systems problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, patching, collaborating with System Engineers & Architects on optimization.
  • Providing on-call support for the Development Operations team in an outage situation.
  • Working as part of the team to ensure projects and goals are delivered to timelines.
  • Ongoing maintenance of documentation relating to new and current systems throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Proven experience as Systems Engineer working with highly available production environments.
  • Extensive Experience in working with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, DNS
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience in designing and implementing.
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Service technologies.
  • Experience of working with product owners, gathering technical requirements, architecting solutions, and executing on deliverables

Preferred:

  • Experience in the automated management of infrastructure and services using AWS SSM.
  • Experience with AWS Technologies such as Cloud Formation, EC2, AMI, ECS, Route 53, VPC etc.
  • Experience of assessing and implementing Information Security controls and solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with Python.
  • A good understanding of the principles/methodologies and tools used in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery using Git, Jira, octopus etc.
  • Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
  • Communications skills to clearly articulate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization (both technical and non-technical)
