Senior Test Automation Engineer – Basel, Switzerland

Join a leading sustainable private bank known for delivering dynamic and personalized investment advisory and asset management services private clients. As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our core banking system (Avaloq) and other in-house developed applications. This position requires a proactive and independent approach to developing and maintaining automated test cases. The role requires on-site presence 5 days a week. This role is ideal for a motivated Test Automation Engineer looking to take on new challenges in a vibrant and supportive environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts based on provided specifications.
  • Continuously expand the scope of test automation coverage.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of automated test cases with minimal failures.
  • Execute test cases and perform in-depth analysis and validation of results.
  • Enhance and optimize the existing automation framework.
  • Support the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines.

 

Your Profile

  • A higher education degree in IT or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in Test Automation.
  • Strong foundational understanding of programming languages.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL is required.
  • Familiarity with system architectures, APIs, and Avaloq is advantageous.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, distributed systems, and microservices architecture is beneficial and will offer opportunities for growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in Portuguese and/or German is a plus.
