My client has an exciting new opportunity for a Product Business Analyst based in Dublin 18 (Hybrid role) They are looking for an experienced Product Business Analyst, who can take ownership and demonstrate enthusiasm, drive, and dedication towards the launch of their new product.

 

The Role 

This is an established well-known company, highly successful and profitable who are launching several new product / Revenue streams. Due to this growth the are setting up a PMO office to streamline, prioritise and manage. Projects and priorities that align with customer satisfaction and profitability.

 

The role would suit somebody who has come from either a start up minded company or one where priorities can shift and you may be managing multiple sized projects at once, deciding with stakeholders how to prioritise and “get the job done”. Passionate about your product and or projects!

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody to take control of the start-up BA function and break the mould beyond business analysis.

You will act as a core contributor to their company vision taking ownership of their requirements roadmap and bring high quality solutions to life. 

 

You will work closely with key stakeholders at all levels to gather, analyse and translate specific needs to produce, clear, unambiguous business requirements and functional specification documents acting as the bridge between Business Operations and IT Departments.  

 

Technical experience is required as you will be working alongside developers and tech managers to define and translate requirements, so they are delivered simply and efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with key stakeholders across all levels and departments to support delivery of strategic business projects.
  • Own and champion the requirements capturing process through the product lifecycle, to ensure prioritisation in line with company goals. 
  • Elicit requirements into functional and non-functional specifications from business stakeholders ensuring cross departmental alignment.
  • Define the approach to specifying large, complex projects with a number of stakeholders and dependencies and ensure that documentation is delivered to that approach. 
  • Drive and challenge business owners on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans and propose Business Value Estimation and metrics based on the same. 
  • Ability to explore alternative approaches and workarounds before assigning to the software development team. 
  • During requirements gathering phase ensure test plan and acceptance criteria are captured and documented. 
  • Constantly reviewing and improving the requirements gathering process taking into considerations learnings and feedback from key stakeholders.
  • Manage Business Analysis team and share expertise on the use of tools and methods to drive knowledge and development. 

Essential Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in Business Analysis or a similar role in a fast-paced B2C commercial environment
  • Experience with technical transformations
  • Experience communicating and negotiating with senior stakeholders (Up to C-suite leve). 
  • Experience offering non-software solutions and workarounds to business owners. 
  • Experience mapping complex business processes both technical & non-technical.
  • Experience working in a minimum viable product (MVP) approach. 
  • Experience producing Business Value Estimation or Cost Benefit Analysis and reporting an advantage. 
  • Customer/product focused.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • People management experience or experience leading a team. 
  • Excellent MS Office skills#- Visio, Excel, and Word.

Prior to Helen’s current position she worked as a Recruitment Analyst. She was involved in the end to end recruitment process which included sourcing candidates, telephone screening, arranging and conducting interviews through to issuing contracts, hiring and induction for .Net & Java candidates from graduate to manager level.
