Junior Project Manager

A growing company in Dublin City Centre that delivers digital solutions for Stock Exchanges, Investment banks and Government organisations is in the lookout for a Junior Project Manager.

Responsibilities of the Junior Project Manager:

  • Liaising with clients and software development teams to define and document project deliverables and milestones
  • Coordinating development activities and taking ownership of project delivery
  • Assisting at each stage of the software development life cycle, from initial engagement to business analysis, proposal and sales through to project delivery
  • Managing key client relationships with a strong emphasis on change control and expectation management

 

Requirements for the Junior Project Manager:

  • First class honours or 2.1 degree in a scientific, technical or business discipline
  • At least 2 years professional experience in a fast-paced company
  • Strong work ethic with a flexible attitude and a willingness to learn new things.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Highly organised and good time management skills
  • Confident and well presented
  • Solid, demonstrable competency in common software products, with particular emphasis on MS Office and web-based software

 

Desirable from the Junior Project Manager:

  • Experience working in a software development project team
  • Knowledge of modern software development methodologies, such as RUP and Agile (XP or Scrum)
  • Knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and MS Project
