Data Analyst – 12-month FTC


My Client is a globally recognized financial organization that provides financial services and products to consumers, corporations and many other institutions internationally. They are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join a team based in Dublin 2 on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.


You will work on the implementation of data business analyst activities. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the business analysis of the Data Analytics run team to drive the successful implementation of reporting and data warehousing improvements, as well as the resolution of production issues between the business stakeholders and developers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and monitoring of business analysis activities;
  • Drive data qualities activities related to the transaction and potential migration
  • Stakeholder management and communication. Steer the discussions and achieve an agreement between different stakeholders;
  • Facilitate business workshops to elicit strong requirements from Business Stakeholders;
  • Understand and translate functional requirements for the implementation of appropriate data solutions;
  • Collaborate with Developers as part of a multidisciplinary team by bringing business knowledge into initiatives.
  • Perform analysis on data variables by working with business stakeholders to map business requirements to build complete documentation for developers;
  • Identify areas of improvement in striving for best practice in data analysis activities;
  • Propose refinements of business processes and practices where necessary
  • Create and maintain the Business Requirement documents, Data Mapping Documents and Data Flow Diagrams etc;
  • Drive good practices in documentation by contributing to our in-house Confluence site;
  • Build strong and effective relationships with ICT, Finance, Risk, Group and participate in cross-departmental meetings and initiatives;
  • Understand and recognise the end-to-end benefits of the high quality data analysis activities;
  • Participate and contribute to data audits;



  • 4 + years’ experience in a role
  • Experience in SQL or a querying language;
  • Experience in self-serve analytics tools i.e. Power BI, Tableau;
  • Relevant Business or Technical Degree;
  • BABOK a plus;

Prior to Helen’s current position she worked as a Recruitment Analyst. She was involved in the end to end recruitment process which included sourcing candidates, telephone screening, arranging and conducting interviews through to issuing contracts, hiring and induction for .Net & Java candidates from graduate to manager level.
