Senior Avaloq Developer – Basel, Switzerland

As a Senior Avaloq Developer, you bring extensive expertise in the Avaloq technology stack, including Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, Oracle SQL, Task Engine, Report Writer, Object Model, Transactional Model, and Booking Engine. Your role will be to provide specialized knowledge to the Trade & Transaction Reporting unit within the broader Avaloq Regulatory team. This role is ideal for a dedicated Avaloq Developer looking to leverage their skills in a dynamic and challenging environment. The role is based in Basel, Switzerland, and requires on-site presence 5 days a week, offering an excellent opportunity for those considering relocation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and Enhance Solutions: Support and optimize existing Trade and Transaction reporting solutions.
  • Develop New Features: Design and implement new functionalities or modify existing ones within Trade and Transaction reporting.
  • Project Implementation: Collaborate with your team to deliver small to medium-sized projects within the Trade and Transaction reporting unit.
  • Architectural Improvement: Critically assess and propose enhancements to current solutions in collaboration with your colleagues.
  • Broader Team Support: Contribute to the Avaloq Regulatory team by offering your expertise in other areas such as Tax, Compliance, Legal Reporting, and Accounting.

Your Profile

  • Education: A degree in Informatics or Computer Science, preferably with a focus on Software Engineering.
  • Certification: Avaloq Certified Professional (ACP) training is essential.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in Avaloq development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of banking and finance.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for working effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Completion of ACCP with a Major in Core Technologies is a plus.
  • Work Ethic: High integrity, strong work ethic, and a high level of accountability.
  • Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Basel, Switzerland.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
