Server Infrastructure Engineer

Bring your expertise in Windows server environments and a proactive attitude and join a dynamic team based in Galway.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, configuring, and managing Windows environments, including Azure & AD.
  • Lead migration projects for SQL server databases and oversee the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, ensuring security and performance.
  • Collaborate with end users and third-party suppliers to maintain system stability.
  • Ensure smooth operations and support team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building and migrating Windows Server environments
  • ICT-related degree or qualification (MCSA/MCSE preferred)
  • Proficiency in Hypervisor Platforms (HyperV), SQL server installations (MSSQL), and firewalls/routers (Cisco, Palo Alto)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player mentality
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying workloads and schedules

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with VDI/Citrix, Certificate Management, or related technologies
