Data Modeler
Data Modeler – SQL **Must Be in Ireland**
We are looking for a Data Modeler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modelling, preferably using Erwin or Archimate tools, and experience with Orbus iServer is highly desirable. The role will involve creating, managing, and optimizing conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring alignment with the organization’s data strategy and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business processes and technology solutions.
- Tools Expertise: Utilize tools such as Erwin or Archimate to develop high-quality data models. Experience with Orbus iServer is highly preferred.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and developers to ensure data models align with project requirements and data governance policies.
- Data Integration: Collaborate on data integration and ensure data quality standards across various systems and platforms.
- Documentation: Create detailed model documentation, including entity relationships, data flows, and metadata.
- Data Governance: Support data governance activities by ensuring the alignment of models with governance policies and standards.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience: Minimum of +2 years of experience in data modelling, with expertise in Erwin or Archimate.
- Preferred Tools: Proficiency in Orbus iServer for model management and visualization is preferred.
- Data Modeling Best Practices: In-depth understanding of data modelling techniques, including normalization, denormalization, star and snowflake schemas.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing principles.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and translate business requirements into scalable data models.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data structures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Educational Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
